ACORN, Obama, and the Financial Collapse

And some folks want to elect this communist???

A clear, compelling example of how government, community organizers, and b.s. charges of discrimination are used to guilt the American population into bad policies.

Wake up people!!!

Not only should this lead to Barry's demise, it should show why government's attempts to make life fair by appeasing those who make charges of racism is a recipe for financial disaster. Thanks Democrats.

Having worked in the mortgage and credit card lending industries for over 15 years, we at the bank were helpless. Forced to offer loans to people with credit so poor you wouldn't believe it and prospects of income non-existant - loans that no one with half a brain cell would approve. Luckily I left the financial services industry in February – and one month after I left, the business all but closed down our subprime office – laid off almost 500 people (and most certainly would have included me). So it’s not just people who should have never had homes in the first place in foreclosure, it’s now hundreds of innocent families with no jobs too.

Affirmative Action has been ridiculous since the dawn of its existence. Earn your good credit score the old-fashioned way like the rest of us – EARN IT.

Wow! Communist! Geez, I really don't understand the HATE that you right-wingers have for anyone who does not support your beliefs and philosophy. In your world, we would eliminate the 2-party system, it would be easier. No discussion, no back and forth with ideas, just do it YOUR way.

What I saw observing the mortgage crisis developing is people buying $500,000 homes when they could afford $250,000 homes. Those on the ones being foreclosed on.

Many things went into this financial collapse, bad practices on mortgages were just one of them, but MANY people were involved in those actions. However, George Bush had 8 years to see what was happening and put things into place that would stop the decline and he, and his party, did not because the wealthy involved in this practice were getting wealthier, so they were OK with it. It wasn't until it all collapsed that they started to look for someone to blame.
If we survived 8 years of George, we can certainly survive a term of Barack.

The Democrats have held a slim lead in Congress for 2 years now. Many of the things that they have tried to do, George has vetoed. Maybe if the majority grows a little larger, things can start moving forward.

Thanks for presenting the fair and unbiased viewpoint for us to see.

It's you anonymous, who define communist as a "hate" -full word.

Bush did try, twice, to fix this in'03 and '05. You just choose to ignore the fact that Democrats blocked his efforts.

Yes, homeowners contributed to the problem. But as this video shows, it was Cuomo-and the Clinton administration- who guilted banks into making the loans.

It's not hate. Accusing a donkey of being a communist is the truth. After all, where do their ideals and principles come from?

Ha ha.

Miami, Florida – February 20, 2006 ― Leaders from a diverse array of sectors will hold a rally in Miami on Thursday, February 23, 2006, in support of comprehensive immigration reform in an effort to keep immigration reform at the forefront of the public debate. Leaders from both political parties, immigrant communities, labor, business, and religious organizations will gather to call on Washington to enact workable reform.

The rally will feature Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) as the headline speaker along with elected officials, immigrants and key local and national leaders. Sen. McCain is one of the chief sponsors of the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act; bipartisan, comprehensive immigration reform legislation introduced last Congress and scheduled for consideration by the Senate in the coming weeks. A similar rally with Sen. McCain is planned for New York City on February 27 [...]

The rally in Miami is being sponsored by the New American Opportunity campaign (NAOC) in partnership with ACORN, Catholic Legal Services - Archdiocese of Miami, Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center, Florida Immigrant Coalition, Miami Dade College, People for the American Way/Mi Familia Vota en Acción, Service Employees International Union, and UNITE HERE.

That was a great event, and I'm glad McCain headlined it. But it does make it a bit more difficult for his campaign to press this line of attack, doesn't it?
