Fox 29 and Bruce Gordon get props for a balanced story, despite furniture ad embedded in this video.
Philly cops don't have enough to do, but yet they'll be on the lookout for you criminals talking on the phone.
Here's a question. When one person walking with a cell phone in their ear, gets hit by a hands-free driver, who will the City of Brotherly Love blame for the event?
A great opinion piece by Dan Cirucci from Wednesday's Philadelphia Daily News about how our secular American-Idol-mentality has changed everything, including how we mourn.
Good. It's about time these frauds get what they like to dish out.
Of course, dissent isn't allowed. So not surprising that the microphone was cut off on Jesse Waters, a Fox News reporter and producer for the O'Reilly Factor who is known for stirring the pot, when he asked a critical question of Jeff Immelt, CEO of NBC.
NBC didn't just cut the mic on Waters. Another questioner also had her voice silenced when she asked a question about meetings where it's rumored NBC execs pressed for more positive coverage of the Obama administration and their policies.
...yet more evidence the MSM is in the tank for Obama and the death of journalism.
While testifying before the House Foreign Affairs Committee yesterday on the effectiveness of torture techniques, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (sorry, I can't help but giggle) was pressed by House Republicans.
They want the administration to release more documents which, according to former VP Dick Cheney, will show the program's success.
It won't surprise you that I don't consider him a particularly reliable source of information.
I can almost hear Obama supporters cheering at the line.
Problem. If Hillary thinks Cheney is so unreliable, why not release the documents he says the Obama administration is suppressing? Wouldn't that prove her theory?
Let's shed a little more sunshine on the subject Hillary. Unless of course you know it will make you look like a fool.
Yesterday, about 1,200 (my estimate) spent a beautiful spring afternoon at Washington's Crossing State Park, PA to lend their voices to the growing Tea Party movement.
July 4th is the date targeted for the next round of peaceful protests. Some are calling for a March on Washington. Others, like myself, eye September 12th. It was 9/12/2001 when America was at her best and this 9/12, perhaps it can be again.
Friday night, the Abington Police Department held a beef and beer benefit for the Philadelphia Police Survivors' Fund. The fund helps families of Philly's fallen heroes heal from their tremendous loss.
Over 500 Abington residents and friends of the Police Department gathered. Rose's Cross provided the entertainment and a special tribute was provided by the Philadelphia Police and Fire Pipes and Drums corps to honor their brothers who paid the ultimate sacrifice trying to keep their city safe.
Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson put on a Easter Sunday show on the front nine as they both came from 7 shots behind to flirt with the top of the leader board. Ultimately however, both fell short, missing several opportunities on the back nine.
Then it appeared as though Kenny Perry would became the oldest player ever to win the Masters. But after a masterful tee shot on 16 put Perry up by two with three to play, he bogied 17 and 18 to come back to the field.
Instead it was Argentinian Angel Cabrera who would outlast Perry in a two hole sudden death playoff to win his first green jacket.
Cabrera found a way to par 18 despite a tee shot in the trees and earned a tie with Perry and Chad Campbell to enter sudden death.
Cabrera becomes the first Argentinian to become Masters' champion, avenging a loss by Roberto DiVincenzo in 1968 when he handed in an incorrect score card and lost by one stroke.
Our president came bearing a basketful of mea culpas. With varying degrees of directness or obliqueness, Obama indicted his own people for arrogance, for dismissiveness and derisiveness, for genocide, for torture, for Hiroshima, for Guantanamo and for insufficient respect for the Muslim world.
What Obama and his supporters believe is that America has something to feel guilty about. They don't believe we have been the inspiration and envy of the world for over 2 centuries.
While he should be the biggest cheerleader for the country, Obama insists on being its biggest critic. And what does it give him? A cold shoulder, perhaps even a mocking laugh behind his back.
No wonder he feels compelled to bow before other leaders; he's willing to be their pawn.
I'm more than a bit disappointed with my Alma Mater. It seems Penn State's human resource department has a neat little box, a label one might say, for those individuals who serve in the military.
This video, courtesy of Hot Air, is one in a series where professors are trained on how to deal with several disturbing incidents in the classroom.
First. Isn't it amazing a video such as this is needed to teach those brilliant professors how to cope with troubled students? It reminds me of those training videos companies have produced to inform trainees about dealing with unruly customers or conflict in the workplace.
Second. It's sad to see how these elite, holier-than-thou, and brilliant (in their own mind) individuals view those soldiers who guarantee their right to have such a condescending and ignorant view.
Stuart Varney of the Wall Street Journal argues that the President isn't interested in banks succeeding, he wants to control them. President Obama is refusing to take back over $340 million from 4 small banks. These banks see what happened to GM's CEO and don't want the same thing to happen to them.
Obama already controls the US Automakers, wants to control the health care industry, and is stripping power from the military.
His militant friends in ACORN organized protests at the homes of Philadelphia Eagle owner Jeff Lurie because of $8 million in unpaid Skybox revenue due the City, and AIG executives who got bonuses their contracts allowed them to have. I don't suppose this manufactured chaos is an accident is it?
Obama is getting exactly the kind of change he wants, a little bit of chaos and a whole lot of control.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. Thomas Jefferson
