Abington Benefit for Philly Police

Friday night, the Abington Police Department held a beef and beer benefit for the Philadelphia Police Survivors' Fund. The fund helps families of Philly's fallen heroes heal from their tremendous loss.

Over 500 Abington residents and friends of the Police Department gathered. Rose's Cross provided the entertainment and a special tribute was provided by the Philadelphia Police and Fire Pipes and Drums corps to honor their brothers who paid the ultimate sacrifice trying to keep their city safe.

Abington Police, Benefit for Families of Philly's Heroes

At tonight's Annual ATRO Spring Dinner, Abington Township Commissioner (and good friend) Peggy Myers announced a benefit would soon take place for a timely and worthwhile cause.

The Abington Township Police Department will be holding a Beef and Beer benefit for the Philadelphia Police Department's Police Survivors' Fund.

All money raised will be donated to help those brave families who have had to bear a tremendous sacrifice, the loss of their loved ones in the line of duty.

The event will be held April 17th, 7pm, at the North Penn V.F.W., 2519 Jenkintown Road in Glenside. Music will be provided by Rose's Cross.

If you can make this event, please be sure to attend and bring friends. I will have a link to a Facebook page soon if you'd like more information or would like to donate yourself.
