Al Gore Says No to Earth Hour

Saying No to "Earth Hour"
Personally, this joke called Earth Hour inspires me to leave all my lights on for the next 24.
Even in these tough economic times, I can afford to poke my finger in the eye of wackos everywhere.
Earth to environmentalists, I am NOT in peril, but your lame arguments regarding my demise are quickly losing favor with the public.
This Don Quixote Syndrome sure is entertaining.
On a similar note, has anyone else experienced higher than usual light bulb malfunctions in their home recently?
G.E. has long been known for bringing new ideas to light as the world's leading manufacturer of standard light bulbs. G.E. is also a leading manufacturer of the new "environmentally friendly" bulbs. You know, the ones where you need mercury-remediation-specialists to properly dispose of them.
So when G.E. uses their television entity (the NBC network family) to push green technology, is that just coincidence? Or do they gain to profit from this artificial need to save the planet?

'Barack Obama is a Terrible Bore'
Do I sense the elitists on the left have grown sour on the chosen one?
Vanity Fair columnist and founder of newser Michael Wolff, is having second thoughts about the Messiah's ability to sell a message.

Obama's First Major Success
President Obama successfully filled out his NCAA Tournament bracket. ESPN dubbed it Barack-etology. The Commander-in-Chief went through every match up and didn't need a focus group or help from the ESPN reporter who was with him for the momentous occasion.
He picks the University of North Carolina to win it all with very few upsets on his bracket.
Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski thought it was nice to know the President could handle such a task but was less than impressed with his UNC choice stating, "perhaps he should focus more on the economy".
I'm thinking of changing my bracket to make Duke the champ now. If their head coach is this clear about what really matters, his team should do well.

O'Bama - Economy 'Fundamentally Sound'
Remember how much flack John McCain received following his statement that the US economy was fundamentally sound last fall?
Then candidate O'Bama (Irish emphasis added) made jokes about the statement.
Well, who's laughing now?

We Surround Them - Friday the 13th
Tonight at 5pm on Fox News, Glenn Beck will reveal his plan to give voice to a growing number of Americans disgusted with the direction our country is headed.
The movement is dubbed the "We Surround Them" project. Average folks who do the right thing daily, have been emailing pictures of themselves to Glenn as a pledge.
The pledge they commit to is based on a list of 9 principles and 12 values which unite the cause. It doesn't have a thing to do with a political party, in fact, leave your politics at the door. You don't need to agree with everyone of the principals either, just a majority of them qualifies you.
Members of both parties have participated in the collapse of common sense American values, both economically and socially. Neither party seems to be interested in stopping the takeover of private industry and the banking system. Neither party seems to understand that government is the problem here, not the solution.
If you feel that Washington has abandoned us, what can you do? Start by watching this show.

Make This Dude RNC Chair
Katheryn Jean Lopez wants to make this guy RNC chairman.
After you read his assessment, you'll agree.
Now if only one leader without a radio show had the same clear understanding of the GOP's communication issues.

Meanwhile, China is moving in the exact opposite direction.
But he [Chinese prime minister Wen Jiabao] said China would ride out the recession, and repeated the country's target of 8% economic growth. That is the minimum the leadership thinks is needed to avoid social unrest because of unemployment.

Stem Cell 'Ban' - All About the Money
What the main-stream-news organizations conveniently forget to tell you during their reporting of President Obama's executive order lifting the "ban" on stem cell research is that embryos were allowed to be used for research prior to yesterday.
Bush simply capped the number of embryos to existing lines, when he issued the order in 2001.
Unfortunately, embryonic stem cells have shown little promise so far to actually cure anything. On the other hand, adult and umbilical cord stem cells have shown tons of promise.
No, the ban had nothing to do with embryonic research happening, it was all about who was going to pay for it. Thanks to the vision of Obama, we all are.
The dirty little secret about embryonic stem cell research lies behind winning patents and now of course, government funding for further research. The government we elected has officially endorsed and is encouraging profiteering, from killing embryos.

Obama - Need to Clarify 'Socialist' Question
The problem with Bush's expansion of Medicare and the first bailout comes to full fruition...
Meanwhile, President Obama feels compelled to make an impromptu call to reporters to clarify his answer to the question, "Are you a socialist as some people have suggested?".
Something about the issue must weigh heavily on his mind.

There's A Brewing Tea Party
I drove out to Harrisburg today to witness one of these growing Rick Santelli inspired Chicago Tea Parties for myself.
And guess what I found?
Conservatives don't tend to be protesters so much as those to our political left, but when we get fired-up about an issue we rally with the best.
I also got an opportunity to meet Nathan Benefield and Matt Brouillette of Commonwealth Foundation, as well as Chris Lilik from Grassroots PA. All of them were as impressed with the turnout as I was.
It's only been a few weeks, but this kettle is starting to stir. April 15th seems to be the day everyone is targeting for the next BIG rally. I'm thinking Valley Forge.

PSALM 2008-2012
...FROM THE FIRST BOOK OF DEMOCRAT
(courtesy of an emailer)
Obama is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He leadeth me beside still factories.
He restoreth my faith in the Republican Party.
He guideth me in the path of unemployment.
Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the bread line, I shall not go hungry.
Obama has anointed my income with taxes,
my expenses runneth over my funds.
Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me,
all the days of his term.
From hence forth we will live all the days
of our lives, in a rented home with an oversees landlord.
But I am glad I am an American, I am glad I am free.
But I wish I was a dog and Obama, a tree.

Talk is Cheap
Thomas Sowell sheds light on a topic critical to the success of the methodical government take over of everything from bank funds to home ownership and healthcare - words mean things, they have value.
So while some stand in awe of the Messiah with words promising everything their heart desires, he robs them blind and makes them slaves to his "solutions".

The Obama administration’s new budget, with deficits that make previous irresponsible deficits look like child’s play, has a cover that says “A New Era of Responsibility.”
You want responsibility? He’ll give you the word “responsibility.” Why not? It costs nothing.

Rush Limbaugh at CPAC
Since he's becoming the focus of so much leftist angst, I feel compelled to do my part to turn the screws a little tighter.
These videos are segments from Rush Limbaugh's appearance at CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) this past Saturday.
In part one Limbaugh explains how, despite what MSM wants you to believe, conservatives want everyone to succeed, not just the top 5%. Rush also has some nice things to say about President Obama, but he is saddened by the wasted opportunity of his moment.
In this segment, Rush explains what it means to be conservative and discusses why President Obama is anything but change.
Finally, Rush talks about children, treating adults like children, and explains why he wants Obama to fail.
It speaks volumes to see the new administration so focused on a radio host. I can't wait until they try to silence the opposition.
If this is your first opportunity to listen to Rush, ask yourself if this sounds like the monster others have warned you about.
Twenty million people tune into Rush on a regular basis. Those numbers aren't achieved unless you have credibility; twenty years worth.
